( Lavandula Hybrida )

Lavandin (Organic) is a hybrid between True Lavender (Lavandula Angustifolia) and Spike Lavender ( Lavandula Latifolia). Though the two plants do not grow at the same altitude it is believed that cross pollination by insects created the plant which grows wild in the Mediterranean region of France, Spain, Hungary and Bulgaria. A relatively newcomer to Aromatherapy the oil has been farmed for a little more than 100 years. The Bush grows larger than Lavender with three flowering heads on each stem.

The scent of Lavandin is fresh camphoraceous, woody herbaceous and a mild floral.
